Somerville Centurions
The Somerville Centurions is the clubs Masters (over 35) men's team operating in the AHA Summer League.
The AHA Summer Masters competition runs approximately from October through to March, recessing for one month prior to Christmas before resuming late January. It is a full field 11-aside competition operating from the LEP (Pakuranga) and Avondale turfs on a Tuesday evening.
The standard of competition would be described as competitive with a semi-social element. Currently the players are largely sourced from the Club’s Division 1 and 2 teams.
Selection
Players are able to register their intent to play by contacting the the Men's Club Captain at the completion of the AHA Senior winter competition. A notification and cut-off date is displayed on the Club website.
Although the squad operates from a cluster of approximately 20 players there is an expectation that players will be available for the majority of matches.
Cost
Players are required to pay their subscription costs for this competition prior to the competition start date. This fee includes an umpire levy.
Requirements
Players must provide their own navy-blue Club shorts and club socks. The sponsored shirt is provided but must be returned at the completion of competition.
