Somerville is offering a pre-season academy programme for players in Years 9-12 at school in 2026, and intending to play for Somerville in 2026.

Each week we will have 4 groups of between 10-13 players with a coach, and grouped together broadly in consideration of ability.
Sessions will be calibrated by each coach to develop and extend skills based on the ability of the group.
More advanced groups will develop the different skills and physical dimensions needed to succeed at higher (open grade) levels, while other groups will work on all fundamental skills through an integrated programme in the context of dynamic game situations.
Registration will remain open until 20th January, unless advised otherwise on social media.
Registration DOES NOT guarantee a place as we need to manage numbers to ensure the best experience.
To be eligible, players must be in years 9-12 at school in 2026, and intending to play for Somerville in 2026.
Registrations will be reviewed and offers of a place will be made from about 21st January, and at that time the fee for the academy ($170 for 5 sessions) will be payable.
Those who played youth or junior hockey for Somerville in 2025 will receive priority, with others with a pre-2025 history with Somerville next in line.
